The flocculation and flotation capacity was increased by installing a second saturator, adding two more recirculation pumps and adding another row of nozzles to the contact zone. The unused 4 sand filters were reconstructed and newly fitted with the LEOPOLD drainage system with a total area of about 100 m2. Filtralite Mono Multi was used as filter material. In addition, 1 raw water pump and 1 pump used for pumping filtered water were replaced with activated carbon pressure filters. The control system was supplemented and modified.
The performance of the reconstructed treatment plant Q=250 l/s has been verified and confirmed by comprehensive tests and laboratory control of the produced water quality.
